There’s a time to come, there’s a time to go..

The final gathering of all 5.000 scouts has ended. After a spectacular entrance by drum band Mr. H.M. van der Zandt collecting the troops from the subcamps, it was time for the saddest part of any Intercamp.

Handing over the flag to the U.K. organizers of next year was an important part of the closing ceremony. Crossing the wooden London bridge is symbolical for what we scouts do, building bridges. And this Intercamp we build and crossed many bridges. We’ve seen old friendships being reinforced and new friendships that came to life.

Sun or rain, we had a great time with all of you! In the past couple of days, we’ve had fun together, we played together, we walked together. The village called Intercamp was very much alive, thanks to your participation.

We hope to see you all again next year, across the Channel at Intercamp 2020. Together we’ll continue on this amazing journey.

Where there is a time to come, there comes a time to go. Pack your belongings, check your bags and travel safely.

On this website, we’ll add new pictures later this and next week. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for next years registration!
